Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assesment

Reemployment Assistance (RA) provides temporary wage replacement benefits to qualified individuals who are out of work through no fault of their own. The Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program is designed to address the reemployment needs of RA claimants.

Individuals filing RA claims maybe selected to participate in the state's RESEA program. Participants are made aware of and referred to a variety of available reemployment services. If selected for participation, claimants are notified via U.S. mail of a mandatory appointment at their local CareerSource Okaloosa Walton Center to receive the following services:

  • Orientation
  • Initial Assessments
  • Labor Market Information (LMI)
  • Employability Development Plan (EDP)
  • Work Search Activities

As a claimant, you are also required to register at and upload a resume. If you do not have internet access, public computers are available all of our locations, as well as local public libraries, community centers and colleges and universities (if you are a student). We can also help you create a resume one-on-one through our free weekly workshops.


Am I Eligible to Receive RA Benefits?

You are eligible to receive RA benefits if:

  • Sufficient Wages in Your Base Period
  • Partially or Totally Unemployed through No Fault of your Own
  • Able to Work
  • Available to Work
  • Actively Seeking Work
